COVID-19 STATEMENT OF RESPONSE

As a destination for travellers, we understand the need for each of our guests to feel comfortable during the COVID-19 pandemic.  Rest assured, our priorities remain the same:  The health and safety of our guests, employees and the wider community in which we live and work are of vital importance.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, The Picton Harbour Inn has instituted and improved a series of stringent measures to help mitigate the spread of the virus.  We continue to follow COVID-19 developments closely, ensuring full compliance with The Government of Ontario requirements.

The Picton Harbour Inn is well-positioned to mitigate the spread of the virus.  Our rooms (with the exception of 2) are accessed directly from the exterior.  Each of our rooms have their own individual HVAC systems.  Additionally, we have limited interior communal space. That which we do have, we have temporarily closed. 

FRONT DESK SERVICES

Our reception area is currently closed, but manned daily from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM.  After hours assistance is available by contacting us on our hotel line.

Our check-in procedure is now contactless.  Each of our rooms are equipped with a programmable key box.  On your check-in day, you will be provided with a check-in procedure and a unique code to access your room key. 

Currently, we do not have ice available for our room guests.  We are sorry for the inconvenience. 

GUEST SAFETY/ HOUSEKEEPING

Our rooms have always been cleaned and disinfected with approved, disinfecting products that are effective in killing viruses, including COVID-19.   Every member of our team has been trained for the appropriate use of these products.  Additional stringent guidelines for our housekeepers have been implemented including the use of masks, gloves, hand sanitizer and frequent hand-washing. Housekeeping will enter to complete the thorough cleaning of the room. We clean all hard surfaces such as furniture, fixtures, remote controls, and appliances with a disinfectant, spray-on liquid cleaner. All linens and towels are washed after each check-out using industrial grade washing machines and disinfecting detergents.  Daily amenities such as soap, shampoo and conditioners are replaced after each check-out.  Additionally, we have removed non-essential items, such as bed scarves, from our guest rooms.

For your safety, we have eliminated daily room cleaning and servicing, ensuring that your room will not be entered by anyone other than yourself, for the duration of your stay.  Should you wish to have additional daily amenities or linens, we will arrange to drop them off outside your door.

UPDATED CANCELLATION POLICY

In an effort to encourage those experiencing symptoms of COVID- 19 to stay home, we have updated our cancellation policy to allow for cancellation up to 24hrs before arrival for those experiencing symptoms.

The Aletha Suite
2 Queen Beds and 1 King Bed

The Aletha Suite is a brand new, fully renovated 2-bedroom suite located on the third floor. The suite offers a kitchenette, living room and a walkout balcony overlooking Picton Harbour. There is a king bed in the master bedroom, and two queen beds in the second bedroom.  The Aletha Suite and The Rosebud Suite have an adjoining door to accommodate a larger group if required. 

Access to this room is by staircase only.
