Where is Prince Edward County?

Heard of Prince Edward County but not sure where it is located?  Have you heard it has beautiful beaches, rolling farm lands and many wineries and breweries? So, where is Prince Edward County?

The municipality of Prince Edward County is located in Southern Ontario. Technically an island located in Lake Ontario; it is located 2 hours east of Toronto, 3 hours southwest of Ottawa, and 3.5 hours West of Montreal.  It is south of the following cities: Trenton, Belleville and Deseronto. All located on or near the 401.

There are 5 entry routes into Prince Edward County. Coming from the West you can access it via Brighton, ON Highways 64 or Trenton, ON via the Wooler Road exit through to Highway 33. If you made it all the way to Belleville on the 401 follow highway 62 South to the Norris Whitney bridge into Rosemore, ON (located at the top south of Prince Edward County). If you are arriving from the East you can cross into the county exiting the 401 on Marysville Road (Highway 15/49 South) and cross on the Skyway Bridge south.

Where is Prince Edward CountyIf you are taking Loyalist Parkway from Kingston a ferry shuttles cars for free across to the County. Called the Glenora Ferry,  this 15 minute ride has you set on a scenic drive into Prince Edward County. Run by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation at 30 minute intervals the ferry runs year round and and more during peak summer times.
